Automotive Test and Certification Capabilities

Australia’s only accredited automotive EMC test laboratory ranging from component to complete vehicle level EMC testing testing for Australian and overseas manufacturers. Fully dedicated CISPR25 chamber. Large anechoic chamber for vehicle testing and large GTEM for susceptibility levels in excess of 500V/m. Combinations of BCI, triplate, stripline and ALSE result in susceptibility and emissions testing in excess of any automotive requirements, including 600V/m radar bands.

All major manufacturers including Ford, GM, Toyota, BMW, Mitsubishi, Volvo, VW, Daimler/Chrysler, Porsche plus many more. If your standard is not shown, call us to discuss. There is a high chance that EMC Technologies can provide the test.

Standards: ISO, CISPR, SAE, JASO, European Directive 2004/104/EC, ECE Regulation 10, FCAI (Australia)

Individual Tests:

BCI: Precision calibration process to ensure reliability and repeatability. Automation and complete software control for speed and susceptibility thresh-holding.

Radiated Susceptibility (ALSE): As with BCI testing, a precision calibration process is exercised to ensure reliability and repeatability. Automation and complete software control for speed and susceptibility thresh-holding, along with various modes of monitoring, are incorporated for complete ease of testing.

ESD: A temperature and humidity controlled environment with up to 30kV capabilities for the most strict automotive requirements.

Radiated/conducted Emissions: A dedicated CISPR25 chamber along with an anechoic chamber capable of testing vehicles and trucks, is available with full exhaust extraction and vehicle safety tiedowns. All emissions testing results are captured and reported with state of the art in-house software capable of immediate results for on the fly trouble shooting.

Automotive Electrical Transient Pulses: Transient pulses in standards such as ISO7637 and SAEJ1113-11 and -12 are produced with the latest high tech equipment. All variations as noted in specific manufacturers specifications are achievable with ease with complete software control.

Dedicated Automotive Equipment:

AEMCLRP Program

The rigorous automotive EMC laboratory recognition (AEMCLRP) accreditation assessment was undertaken by an A2LA recognised assessor. EMC Technologies is NATA (ISO 17025) accredited for the relevant AEMCLRP designated EMC tests. EMC Technologies is the only EMC laboratory in Australia to have been involved in the program with the facilities and expertise to test as per the requirements.

VCA Accreditation

The only Australian EMC Laboratory to gain VCA accreditation to the European Automotive Directive 2004/104/EC for both component and vehicle level.
