EMR/EME Officer
STUDENT ENGINEER/TECHNICAL OFFICER EMR/EME - ON GOING CASUAL EMPLOYMENT
EMC Technologies is the largest NATA accredited Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) or Electromagnetic Energy (EME) testing laboratory in Australia, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.
We are seeking a person to work at the Keilor Park facilities as a Student Engineer/Junior /Trainee EMR/EME test officer to assist in performing EMR/EME predictions and measurements. The predictions and measurements are performed to Australian and International EMR/EME Standards using sophisticated equipment and test software. This is a part time or casual position depending on the current volume of work. We would also consider a block release student. A sound understanding of electrical principles is required and the applicant would need to demonstrate his/her understanding of these principals.
Duties

Perform EMR/EME predictions to Australian and International standards

Prepare EMR/EME predictions reports using specialist engineering software.

Prepare Site Radiation Folders and Radiocommunications Site Management Books.

Perform on site measurements both locally and (after an adequate training period)
intrastate and interstate. -
Prepare measurement and prediction reports
Qualifications Required
-
Part completed tertiary qualifications in an Electrical or an Electronics discipline. Students will be considered.

Basic understanding of Radio Frequency and Electromagnetic theory.

Basic computer skills

Use of word and Excel are highly desirable

A Victorian drivers license and able to demonstrate the ability to drive a manual
- As the position may require working at heights you would need to be prepared to do a working
at heights safety course and be prepared to climb towers
