EMC-EMR-EME Engineer/Technical Officer- Electronics
EMC Technologies Keilor Park (Melbourne) based facility is seeking an electrical/electronics Engineer or Technical Officer to work in the EMC or EMR fields.
Candidates with experience in both fields will be
favourably considered however a traineeship may be offered to candidates that show good potential.

Recent major expansions included a new purpose build building to house new anechoic chambers, expanded safety testing facilities and upgraded EMR/EME measurement capability.
EMCT has the widest scope of NATA and international accreditations covering most CE marking immunity and emission standards. Unrivalled EMC facilities,
extensive knowledge of regulatory standards, as well as state-of-the-art instruments ensure that full compliance testing is performed to the latest regulatory and standards requirements.
The NATA accredited EMR facilities provide EMR measurement and prediction services to AS/NZS2772 and the ARPANSA standard on antennas and RF transmitters. Engineering EMR/EME NATA accredited prediction services are performed using sophisticated EMR/EME
modelling prediction software especially developed in house.
The Position
The person we are seeking will have or will be trained
to have:
1. A self motivated professional approach with a high level of
commitment to customer focus and an ability to meet deadlines.
2. The ability to work as part of the EMCT team and to work alone.
3. Relevant experience in EMC or EMR or both.
4. The ability to use state-of-the-art test and measuring equipment and automatic test software packages for laboratory and field measurements.
5. The ability to write accurate technical reports is essential, as well as good verbal and written communications skills .
6. A knowledge of ISO 17025 , NATA Rules and quality procedures.
7. EMC/EMR regulations and standards such as ARPANSA, CE, FCC, C-tick.
8. The ability to work on site at various locations including commercial, industrial, medical environments.
9. The ability to work at heights is preferred but not essential. Appropriate OH&S training will be provided.
10. The ability to diagnose and fix EMC or EMR problems.
11. A commitment to further professional development in these fields.
12. A good working knowledge of RF test instruments, personal computers, windows operation systems and automatic testing.
13. A current driving licence.
To ensure that EMCT provides the highest possible standard of professional services, EMCT trains staff through regular training courses conducted
in-house or through academic institutions, commercially operated courses or overseas training courses and seminars.
A salary will be negotiated commensurate with
experience and qualifications.
