LOCATION

Our Melbourne labs are located at Keilor Park just south of the airport. Within 10 minutes drive of the city, they are ideally located for clients travelling from interstate or overseas. A number of motels are close by in Essendon or alternatively, visitors to Melbourne can stay in the city and enjoy an uncongested drive against peak hour traffic up the Keilor Park freeway to the lab in the morning.

Our OATS located in the picturesque Lerderderg Gorge near the country hamlet of Bacchus Marsh is within 35 minutes of the city and the Keilor Park labs.

ACCOMMODATION

Visitors to Melbourne may choose to stay close to the labs, in nearby Essendon where the Essendon Motor Inn has proved popular and convenient.

Alternatively, there is the wide choice of city accommodation available in the CBD should you wish to take advantage of the excellent cuisine and entertainment available in Melbourne City and the inner suburbs like Fitzroy and Carlton.

The labs are only 10 minutes from the city on the freeway. Don't hesitate to ask us where the best streets for dining, shopping and browsing are located.

TESTING CAPABILITY

EMC Technologies Melbourne
has
NATA accreditation for all the major European Emission and Immunity standards.

Our testing is accredited by TUV Product Services and is accepted for CB (Competent Body) certificates or on TUV PS certificates Testing takes place in 4 test chambers at the Keilor Park Labs, one of which is a fully accredited IEC1000-4-3 compliant semi-anechoic chamber, and at the OATS at Lerderderg Gorge near Bacchus Marsh about 40 minutes drive from the Labs.

Remember, unlike some test labs, EMC Technologies provides NATA endorsed reports for all the Australian C-tick standards and Generic Immunity standards.

EQUIPMENT PROFILE

We have invested in a wide range of the latest test equipment in order to provide reliable and accurate susceptibility testing to EMC Directive requirements. eg. Latest model ESD guns, Electrical Fast Transient generators and coupling clamps.

Our wide range of RF amplifiers and signal generators allows us to provide a radiated immunity capability covering 14 kHz to 1GHz at > 100 V/m,1-18 GHz at >50 V/m which allows us to fulfil CE and most military radiated susceptibility requirements.

We provide automated testing using control software developed in-house for fast turnaround and improved accuracy. Coupled with our range of spectrum analysers and EMI receivers, emissions testing is quick and efficient.

EMC Technologies is the only Australian/New Zealand test lab that is
NATA accredited for testing to AS27721:1998
over the 9kHz - 18GHz range,
narrowband and broadband measurements.

LERDERDERG OATS

Melbourne's Open Area Test Site (OATS) is located on an 80 acre property just 7 minutes from the town of Bacchus Marsh in secluded bush land, adjoining the Lerderderg State Forest.

Just 35 minutes from the City via the Western Ringroad and Western Highway, the close proximity to the city means that clients have a relatively short distance to travel which maximises test time and eliminates 1 to 2 hours travel time required to get to the nearest alternative OATS.

OATS FACILITIES

The OATS test lab is air conditioned with mains power and telephone. A microwave oven and coffee and tea facilities are provided.

Low ambients allows testing without the need for shielded room prescans.

Access for big trucks transporting large equipment is via sealed roads with a clear approach to the ground plane.

Our test team has extensive testing experience and we pride ourselves on being able to provide a fast and efficient testing service second to none. The intensive daily engagement with the subtleties of standards interpretation and the necessity to produce rapid and scale sensitive solutions means that there is no need to employ expensive EMC consultants.

All of our EMC Engineers and Test Officers have hands-on experience profiles afforded by a busy test house that translate daily into savings for the client.

Even consultants can't boast the incredibly broad range of practical experience with standards and the finer points of testing that our staff can focus on your project.

SKILLS

Our strength lies in our ability to respond immediately to a non-compliance. The experience provided by thousands of "fixes" in military and commercial applications allows us to provide appropriate solutions quickly when investigations are requested.
