EMC Technologies has internationally recognized NATA accredited facilities and expertise in products approvals testing, conformity assessment and certifications. The scope includes ISO 17025 and EN45004 accreditations to standards and regulations in the fields of Electromagnetic (EMC), electrical safety, radio and telecommunications, Electromagnetic radiation (EMR), specific absorption rate (SAR) medical, military and aerospace.

EMC Technologies Pty Ltd was founded in 1992 by a group of specialist Engineers and technicians previously employed by the department of defence where they had developed their specialist expertise in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). From day one of incorporation, Chris Zombolas and Stephen Phillips were involved in EMC design and EMC Compliance testing to Australian and International EMC standards as well as MIL-STD 461 for defence projects. In 1996, a consortium led by EMCT acquired Comtest Laboratories, the former Telstra conformance test labs.

In 1998, EMCT acquired the former New Zealand Ministry of Commerce EMC & Radio Type Approval Labs based in Auckland new Zealand. With an aggregate staff of over 50 specialist engineers and support staff, these acquisitions have broadened the expertise and capability of the company to include virtually all areas of the electrical/electronics industry.

With the head office in Melbourne, fully accredited laboratories have been established in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland (New Zealand). EMC now has branches EMC’s testing and reports are now accepted in most countries around the world, greatly benefiting Australian and New Zealand manufacturers and exporters by facilitating access to global markets.
