    Les Dickenson - Sydney Manager

EMC Technologies Sydney Branch is managed by Les Dickenson. Les has 16 years experience in the electronics industry and was formerly the Product Compliance Manager of Scitec Limited where he was responsible for Austel, BABT, UL, CSA and other Australian and international regulatory approvals.

He was also a member of the Austel WG2.1. Les’ responsibilities include management of the NATA accredited test facilities at Seven Hills  and Colo, Safety, Telecomms and EMC design, test and consultancy services and the continued development of EMC Technologies’ global approval services. His enthusiasm and the commitment of the professional Sydney staff to customer service has helped to reduce the lead time for testing to less than one week for most tests.
‘Do It Yourself’ Precompliance Testing at NATA Test Site

We are pleased to provide another Australian first service to our customer base. Low Cost Precompliance testing is now available at our NATA registered Open Area Test Site (OATS) for EMI measurements to all Australian and International Standards.

Our new precompliance test facilities in Melbourne and Sydney provide a low cost “turn-key” EMI measurement capability for private use by companies to check for EMI compliance prior to formal NATA testing.

The Colo site has low ambients (below the limit) which allows easy identification of emissions and cuts the time of the test significantly. Facilities include remote controlled turntable, antenna mast and fully calibrated antennas and spectrum analyser. The cost is lower for clients using their own spectrum analyser.

    Facilities Expanded
    • 4 OATS including the only compliant 30 metre site in Australia
    • 4 EMI Receivers
    • 7 Shielded enclosures
    • 3 high-performance spectrum analysers
    • Comprehensive fully automated emission tests - spectrum plots provided.
    • Fully automated radiated immunity testing
    • Fully automated conducted RF (IEC1000-4-6) testing.
    • Fully automated MIL-STD-461/2 testing.
    • Measurements from DC-40 GHZ.
Fully automated means fast, accurate repeatable results.
