Acceleration testing

EMC Technologies have comprehensive Environmental Laboratories offering A2LA accredited Acceleration test services

EMC Technologies environmental testing

Melbourne EMC Technologies is A2LA accredited (pending) for acceleration (G-force) testing.

We have a large programmable centrifuge test platform at our Melbourne. This test system is used to simulate varying gravity loads and stresses that occur in typically the aerospace environment. This test is used to examine the effect of these stresses upon the construction of the specimen under test, including components, fasteners and equipment. Test standards determine the stress level in order to detect structural and mechanical strength limits in objects that experience constant acceleration.

During testing, assessment of the product is performed to check for structural issues, such as material distortion, fastener failure, and hardware malfunction. Acceleration tests may also be used to assess if material(s) could become hazardous after exposure to crash inertia loads. Acceleration testing is required for a variety of military and industry standards, including MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160 mainly for components and equipment destined for in-flight use.
