Dodgy LED Lights? EMC testing and C-Tick/RCM compliance

Importers and suppliers of LED lighting equipment in Australia must ensure compliance with Australian EMC (C-Tick, RCM mark) and electrical safety (ERAC) standards.

The Australian regulator ACMA have released a video and factsheet on the subject of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).

Many importers rely on overseas test reports from China which vary in quality, validity and authenticity. As a minimum, these test reports should be technically reviewed to give confidence that the equipment was tested properly and is hence compliant. The lowest risk approach is to have the products tested locally by a NATA accredited test laboratory.

Why risk withdrawal and the banning of sales, fines and incarceration?

EMC Technologies highly experienced EMI Engineers can provide expert EMC and electrical safety report review and testing services. We can also provide testing services for VEET and IPART schemes.
