In an endeavour to keep our vested shareholders and clients updated with company growth, we will periodically publish changes and developments happening within the company.

Here is a recap of recent news:

EMC Tech is in constant expansion mode. We headhunted talent in the industry and made some important hiring decisions. Several new engineers joined our team – radio frequency (RF), electrical safety and telco industry specialists. Additional technical report writers and Quality Assurance personnel have helped us to reduce the turnaround time for reports and improve our quality process.

Our new Melbourne safety lab will be managed by Rafeeque Mohamed, formerly of TUV and SGS.

Dr. Arun Guyen, formerly with the TUV Rheinland Group in Japan and Australia, initially commissioned the safety lab and has since moved into an Operations Manager role (projects). Arun has many years’ experience in the compliance industry, EMC Design and Consultancy, and a strong approach towards customer service. All EMCT Melbourne projects will be professionally co-ordinated by Arun with testing and report turnaround time greatly reduced.

Andrew Whiteford has moved into a General Management role, looking after both Keilor Park and subsidiary EMC Bayswater. He has also taken on a Business Development Role within the organisation.

The company made an investment of $1Million to purchase and commission a 3m semi-anechoic chamber (iOATS) at Keilor Park to reduce EMC and radio certification lead times. This smaller facility complements our existing 10m iOATS. Another $900,000 investment was made towards purchasing two Rohde and Schwarz EMI Receivers and two Keysight  44 GHz receivers to move in tandem with the changing testing standards. We also purchased a number of Cellular base station simulators for each of our laboratories, most notably a Rohde & Schwarz CMW500 Wideband Radio Communication Tester. Another $500,000 investment was made towards creating an A2LA accredited safety testing laboratory in Melbourne. We have also upgraded various antennas, coupling fixtures, amplifiers and other miscellaneous items in our commitment to maintaining a world class facility. When you visit us you can see where the money goes!

Full environmental testing capability is next on the list!

EMC Technologies has achieved NATA for Harmonics and Flicker calibration and testing, TLISN calibration and added CISPR 32, ANSI C63.4, ANSI C63.10, RSS-210 and RSS-247 amongst other standards to our constantly expanding NATA scope.
